I'm afraid that I don't have an image, but this object is Middle
Byzantine rather than C6. I don't have any publication of it in
particular here at home, but in his catalogue of the Dumbarton Oaks
ivories Weitzmann compared it to a leaf in the DO collection from the
mid-tenth c.

This ivory too represents Constantine, and Weitzmann suggested that both
it and the one in Paris are images of the emperor Constantine VII
Porphyrogenitus and (now lost at DO, present in the CdM) his wife Helen
in the guise of their saintly predecessors. The suggestion is based on
the clearly Middle Byzantine style of the ivories as well as the strong
resemblance between their Constantine and known images of the C10 emperor.
If time permits, I will photograph the CdM ivory while in Paris next month.
Best,
Genevra
