St George's University London currently has a vacancy for an E-resources/Journals Librarian (maternity cover).
We are looking for a highly motivated LIS professional with experience of managing electronic resource provision (subscriptions, licenses, access, usage data). With over 10,000 electronic journal subscriptions, a range of medical and health care databases and a very diverse user base the complexities of managing these resources is an exciting challenge.
You will be a graduate with a recognised LIS qualification with a minimum of two years previous experience of Library work. It is essential that you have experience of library systems relating to the access and management of e-resources (e.g. Athens, UK Federation) and experience of working with e-journals.
You should also have knowledge of e-resource workflow from identification of items to user access; knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. COUNTER) and you will have excellent communication and data analysis skills.
