Up until now, we have processed and catalogued our books with accompanying CD-ROMs separately.
We are now planning to process and catalogue them as one entity.
I wondered what other institutions are doing about the following:-
1. Do you put any kind of label on the front of the book to indicate that there is a CD-ROM inside?
2. Do you trigger these discs?
3. Do you check for them on return, particularly if you have a self-sorter?
4. How do you affix easily detachable CD-ROM pockets into the book?
5. If you also moved from split records to single records, what did you do when extra copies of the same title were ordered, i.e. when existing stock had separate records for the book and CD-ROM, but the new stock was going to remain together?
Please reply direct to me, and I will summarise for the list.
Thanks for your help!
Ruth
