Just a quick comment on the suggestion that Nicola& James reiterated in their post-workshop email to us all dated 12th August, about a group letter to the BMJ, is that if we do collectively decide to do so, it will need to have international relevance. Having peer-reviewed for the BMJ a few times, despite the name of the journal, articles/letters do need to have interest a wider readership.
So I suppose there are two questions following from this comment, (a) what would the prime message of the letter actually be and (b) how would it relate to an international audience?
