If you're actually going to use the http interface I believe you
need to run it on each disk server. However, it's not run by
default, so unless you're explicitly turning it on you can
leave it installed and it just won't do anything.

It's defined in site-info.def as 'DPMMGR_UID'. I don't think the
gid matters for anything much; the UID has to be the same across
a whole DPM install, but I have different GIDs on some of my
machines and they're fine.
