Dear Colleagues
You may be interested to know of a new £2.7 million international project funded by the EPSRC: IMprints: Identity Management - Public Responses to Identity Technologies and Services. The project is a collaboration between colleagues in Social Media at Loughborough University, Political Science at Essex University, Psychology at Northumbria University and Art & Design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design at the University of Dundee. Other partners include computer scientists at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Seattle, USA.
Our overall research question is: What will influence UK and US publics to engage and/or disengage with identity management practices, services and technologies of the future?
From the art craft and design perspective the project will involve a series of Design Jams to develop new interdisciplinary ideas, supported by an international design competition for students and professionals, the creation of various artefacts for testing with a variety of audiences and stakeholders, and an international touring exhibition of new artwork created in response to the issues.
We welcome any information on related projects, exhibitions, events, publications or related material that might be beneficial to developing this project.
If you are interested in receiving direct information about the project in the future please let me know and I will add your details to our mailing list.
Best wishes
Dr Sandra Wilson
