The French treat a poetry reading rather like a classical concert in the
1970s; dress up, a formal structure, in something akin to a concert hall.
Many are genuinely surprised, even stunned, that British poetry readings
are often held in a pub, with booze in full flow. I much much prefer the
informal atmosphere of the pub, and never mind the beer, even if some of
the American expats can react to the poetry, and probably more so the
beer, like an evangelical audience --- that's probably just my stuffy
British ears in mild shock.
Anyway, enough. I'll get the PDF across to you tonight.
Thanks,
Dylan
