Subject: references on the appearance of oak park woodland in the Near East
Dear Archaeobotany Mailing List members,
I would like to ask you whether you could help me with literature
references on the appearance of oak (park) woodland vegetation in the
Near East. The following species come into consideration:
Quercus brantii
Quercus boissieri
Quercus libani
I measured diameters of deciduous oak charcoal fragments from
archaeological sites in northern Syria and have almost exclusively
diameters less than 10 cm.
I would be most grateful for your help,
Thank you very much and best regards,
Katleen Deckers
