Hi Rowena
You need to make sure that half landings are wide enough to accommodate a turn and importantly you need to check the stair nosings because these machines can quickly tear them off if they are not glued and screwed.

Subject: 'super track' evacuation and heavy goods stair climber
Hi all,
The University of Essex is considering purchase of one of these for use in the following situations:
* evacuation of disabled people who use motorised wheelchairs and are unable to transfer into our standard evacuation chairs
* Evacuation of wheelchair users up stairs.
* Transport of goods up to 200kg up or down stairs without any manual handling.
* Transporting wheelchair users up or down stairs in the event of lift failure.
* Transporting wheelchair users to and from otherwise inaccessible areas.

does anybody have any experience of them - good or bad?
Many thanks
Rowena
