Hi Rowena
There is some useful guidance on choosing evacuation chairs in the NDA's
'Safe Evacuation For All' publication - see http://www.nda.ie/evacuation
I also noticed some details of US evacuation products in this month's NFPA
eAccess bulletin - see
http://www.nfpa.org/assets/files//eACCESS/EaccessSeptember2011multi.pdf
Hope this helps
Shane

Hi all,
The University of Essex is considering purchase of one of these for use in
the following situations:
evacuation of disabled people who use motorised wheelchairs and are
unable to transfer into our standard evacuation chairs
Evacuation of wheelchair users up stairs.
Transport of goods up to 200kg up or down stairs without any manual
handling.
Transporting wheelchair users up or down stairs in the event of lift
failure.
Transporting wheelchair users to and from otherwise inaccessible
areas.

does anybody have any experience of them - good or bad?
Many thanks
Rowena
