I call them 'slidvids' because they are video slid down to the condition in
which I render it: somewhere between slideshow and video. Or so it was with
the dbCinema slidvids; there was typically more continuity between images
than in the Aleph Null series. The Aleph Null slidvid is basically just a
slideshow, though the last nine images show the same Aleph Null
configuration except for opacity varying from very low to totally opaque.
My friend the novelist who is writing a novel inspired by Chauvet says
Picasso, upon viewing one of the ancient caves containing paintings
(Lascaux?), said something like 'We have learned nothing more important
about art than they knew.'
