DeSForM 2012:MEANING.MATTER.MAKING welcomes participation from practice-led researchers and research-led practitioners from academia and industry, as well as others representing the many disciplines and perspectives bearing on the conference themes.
THE DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACTS HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 12 SEPTEMBER 2011.

Submissions will be double-blind peer reviewed by the review committee, and notification of acceptance will be sent to authors no later than 03 October 2011. Selection will be based on the proposal's significance, innovation and clarity of intent. Final papers will be due 21 November 2011.

MeCCSA is the subject association for the field of media, communication and cultural studies in UK Higher Education. Membership is open to all who teach and research these subjects in HE institutions, via either institutional or individual membership. The field includes film and TV production, journalism, radio, photography, creative writing, publishing, interactive media and the web; and it includes higher education for media practice as well as for media studies.
