2 Post Doc. Research Positions
UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience (& Dept of Clinical & Experimental
Epilepsy, UCL Institute of Neurology)
Applications are invited for two postdoctoral research positions at the UCL
Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience to work with Prof Neil Burgess on the
neural mechanisms of spatial and episodic memory. The post-holders will use
virtual reality combined with fMRI, MEG, and neuropsychology, in close
collaboration with related electrophysiological and computational work. For

Applicants must have a PhD in a relevant area and an excellent understanding
of the relevant research techniques. Self-motivation, excellent
communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a
team are essential. Experience of computer programming (MatLab or similar
languages, video games/virtual reality), or functional neuroimaging is
desirable.
The posts are available from October 2011 and are funded by an MRC programme
grant for the period to September 2016 in the first instance. Starting
salary on UCL Grade 7 in the range £31,905 - £38,594 pa inclusive,
superannuable.
