The new segmentation does indeed estimate deformations that could be
used for spatial normalisation. On the user interface, there is an
option to save deformation fields in a y_*.nii format. These can be
used with the Deformations utility to generate warped images.
At the moment, the framework is a cumbersome. For the next SPM release
I hope to have enough time to make it a bit easier to use these
deformations.
