Just a comment, not a direct answer to your question: while it's perhaps a good thing to be concerned about the multiple comparison problem arising from looking at more than one contrast, obviously a much bigger problem in neuroimaging is the MCP over voxels. The community doesn't seem so interested in looking at the MCP over contrasts. That in isolation might not be reasonable, but it's reasonable to give priority to the voxel problem.
