Hi everyone,
I am currently working at a children's home in South Africa where we
have a "hosting" programme, that is, volunteers are able to take
children out/home for a few hours, weekends, public holidays, etc.
We would now like to measure some potential outputs of hosting and so
I'm wondering if anyone can suggest any scales or assessments tools that
may be useful to us?
Among the things we're mainly interested in measuring are:
- increased familiarity with regular household items and procedures
- increased verbal skills
- development of motor skills
- exposure to new food
- exposure to a range of social situations and the perceived level of
comfort
- increased familiarity with different environments outside of the
children's home
I'd be grateful for any help and advice.
Thanks,
Vania
