Great!
I've added these resources to the 'Discovery' page of SCONUL's HELibTech
http://helibtech.com/Discovery . HELibTech, as Paul points out, has other
relevant info too. It has a complete list of (UK) HE institutions and what
library related systems (inc Discovery) they employ:
http://helibtech.com/HE+Systems+Review
E-resource solutions (ERM, resolvers etc etc)
http://helibtech.com/E-resource+Management+Systems
Recent (and upcoming) procurements of library systems including Discovery
solutions
http://helibtech.com/Procurements
The discovery page of HELibTech page also links another wiki (LibTechRFP)
which provides open, freely available specifications for library systems
including a specification for a Discovery (Vertical Search) solution
http://libtechrfp.wikispaces.com/Vertical+Search
The wikis are open for all and it would be great to have that Discovery
spec' edited to include features people thought should be added. If anyone
would be prepared to share their discovery spec in this way do feel free to
send it to me. The discovery/vertical search spec on the LIBTechRFP wiki is
not too detailed and was based on a university requirement from a couple of
years ago

Jason Vaughn wrote a great review of web-scale discovery for Library
Technology Reports . He covered several commercial products in detail,
including Summon, Primo Central, OCLC WorldCat Local, and EBSCO Discovery
Service.

I published two comparative reviews on web-scale discovery tools for The
Charleston Advisor.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [lis-e-resources] Resource Discovery Platforms
Hi,
Would anyone be able to provide list of what discovery platforms are
currently available on the market including open source platforms?
I need to write a market report that details what products are available.
Also, for those of you that have gone through the process of buying a system
would you be able to share with me what criteria you used to purchase and
let me know how many of these systems you looked at via demonstrations?
I realise similar questions have been asked in the past but any help you can
offer me would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Dawn
