Hello,
I've just started (considering) a study on the representation of natural disasters. I am wondering if anyone has in mind any books, articles, films, photographs, literary works, and any other kinds of representation, fictional or nonfictional, on natural disasters. My current interest is hovering over the ethical, aesthetic problem of representing natural disasters in the media (like Sontag does on war photography), but not limited to it.
I'd appreciate any comments, observations, and suggestions.
Thank you,
Kohei Furuya
