To me that quote is seriously and disastrously medical model - I hope
that disability researchers will question the medical model as
intensively in relation to mental health (or madness, or however
people define themselves in their own lives without coercion) as they
do in relation to other types of disability.
Examples of some advocacy websites with good social model
information: www.wnusp.net, www.mindfreedom.org, www.psychrights.org,
and my own www.chrusp.org. Others on this list might be able to share
more.
