Could I take this opportunity to inform other members of this group that "Free Associations: Psychoanalysis and Culture, Media, Groups, Politics" has been recently relaunched and will be of interest to some group members and is seeking contributors.
See the latest edition here: http://www.freeassociations.org.uk/journal/index.php/fapcmgp/issue/current/showToc
The journal sets out to explore psychoanalysis and its relation to culture and the media, broadly defined. It aims to embrace all psychoanalytic approaches ranging from the clinical to theoretical and scholarly applications. We welcome contributions from a range of academic disciplines including, for example, cultural studies, film studies, media studies, literature, drama, art, history, studies of identity, critical theory, anthropology, feminism, philosophy, psychosocial studies and social sciences as well as all subjects that include a psychoanalytic (or psychodynamic) dimension. All submissions – whether original articles, reviews of books, cultural events/phenomena or media, letters to the editor, conference reports etc – should address matters related to psychoanalysis and its application in the clinical, media and/or cultural spheres.
If you know of any cultural events that you think should be publicised in Free Associations please let me know.
Warmest Regards
Hugh
