The Healing Foundation has committed to funding the UK Centre for Cleft Research at the University of Manchester. This is a 10 year, £2.4m commitment with the aim of reducing the human burden associated with cleft lip and palate, through the creation of a platform to rapidly develop, co-ordinate, support, undertake and disseminate a broad range of applied and genetic research. A core component of the Centre is a National Clinical Trials Unit for Cleft, the services of which will be available to all cleft researchers throughout the UK. The HF CTU will work as a satellite of the MCRN CTU at the University of Liverpool.
An experienced senior statistician is required to strengthen the activities and portfolio development of the Healing Foundation Clinical Trials Unit with particular reference to study development, design, central co-ordination, and analysis of national and international studies.
The post is available for 60 months in the first instance.
