The University of Exeter is currently advertising a number of positions from
lecturer to professorial level.
These positions are part of a strategy to complement the ongoing statistical
activity at the University and surrounding region as illustrated by the
newly founded Exeter Institute for Statistics and its Applications
(http://tinyurl.com/InstStats). The University is particularly keen to hear
from anyone who wishes to establish their own research group within the
department and funds are available to support a number of permanent
positions.
Joint appointments with Select Statistics (www.select-statistics.co.uk) are
also available with 1-4 days per week spent at the University and the rest
spent with Select which is based just a short distance from the University
campus. Various activities are currently being planned to support
statistical research and teaching within the University and beyond,
including the potential development of an innovative new Master's programme.
Further details on the positions can be found on the University web site at
http://tinyurl.com/ExeterProf and http://tinyurl.com/ExeterLect. The
deadline for professorial applications is the end of this week though late
applications may still be considered. Informal inquiries should be directed
either to the Head of Department, Prof. Pete Ashwin ([log in to unmask])
or Prof. Steve Brooks ([log in to unmask])
You may leave the list at any time by sending the command
SIGNOFF allstat
to [log in to unmask], leaving the subject line blank.
