It isn't "barely used", savannah bugs have lots of fields with defined meanings which are used in the development, testing and release process and which don't exist in ggus. And it doesn't have to kill the communication since both developers and users can still add comments to the GGUS ticket. The fact that you don't get much progress on a particular problem isn't down to the tracking tool!
