Dear colleagues,
I'm collecting ideas and descriptions about African-Caribbean laughter, starting from the very interesting and multi-layered phrase 'Tek bad ting mek laugh'. I wonder whether anyone on the list knows of any philosophical/political reflections on laughter amongst African-Caribbean people/in our cultures (from proverbs to writing), or knows of literary works or films that give an interesting analysis or description of the embodiment or deployment of laughter, i.e. how it is used socially/culturally and how it works through the body. Contact me either on or off list. Thanks in advance.
All the best,
Pat Noxolo
