Dave Burnett grappled with this: it's a Flash issue. I'm not sure whether a good solution was found.

Subject: Using bullets

Hi

Could some-one help me with bullets...

When I use them and have a hyperlink in the text I find the bullet also changes to the hyperlink colour. This is erratic does not always occur and it's not because the hyperlink is adjacent to the bullet its elsewhere in the bulleted text.

Hope someone can advise

Cheers

Barbara

The best resources are those on the techDis web site, and on our own web site on the Toolkits page:

http://www.heacademy.ac.uk/techdis/pages/detail/online_resources/Xerte_learning_object_development_tool

You can use the columnn page for making columns.

The main menu is enabled by adjusting the 'navigation' property of the LO to 'menu'

Keep the questions coming...

Subject: Couple of questions for the 'old hands'

Hi Xerte experts,

Have been playing with Xerte Online Toolkit for a while and beginning to get the hang of it, but still have a long way to go, before feeling exactly confident of developing anything really worthwhile.

I seem to have quite a few questions but finding it hard to find good resources for working them out.

So, I hope you won't mind me asking here:

A) Where is the best manual or resource for covering XOT in full. <To save myself asking daft questions here :-) >

B) Is there any easy way of making a table or tabbed text columns in a template? I have seen that there are instructions on the Wiki for making a 'column template' but I fear these may be beyond me in coding terms. Has anyone done this for XOT? Is it possible to import a 'column template' that has been made by someone else?

C) How does one make the 'Main Menu' page as seen here: http://www.intouea.com/xerte/play.php?template_id=29 amongst others. I can't see the template for this. Is it a custom template? Again, if so, how do I get it and how do I import it?

I rather suspect there will be other questions....but any answers to those would be a really big help.

Thanks in advance

eib

Thanks for that J....

having posted that last message, I saw (rather guiltily) that 'technical' questions were not encouraged and referred to the main Nottingham list, which I have now joined.

Thanks for pointing out the Menu - navigation - stupid of me to not see it there.

I was aware of the columns page, but that doesn't really allow me to present 'tabled' material, where the columns contain lines of information across each column. Is there any way of doing that?

Thanks again, I will look through the archives of the Nottingham list.

cheers
