Dear colleagues
If you are wanting to develop use of Xerte in your organisation but embed it in a wider context I'd recommend looking at a recent exciting development from JISC Techdis. Over the last few months we've been bringing our resources together in order to now be able to offer institutions a support programme. This programme is designed to:
* help organisations deliver against the back drop of having to do more for less,
* help staff recognise how certain cohorts of learners benefit from the use of technology
* increase the skills of front line staff in using technology effectively for inclusive teaching and learning.
The Accessible IT Practice Support Programme (http://jisctechdis.ac.uk/techdis/investinyourself/havetooffer/ITQ) will be an easy way to discover the resources of the Service and provides an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to improve their ability to meet the needs of all learners and other users in today’s technology driven world.
The programme, which can also lead to City & Guilds ITQ accreditation, provides an ideal platform for raising awareness of inclusion issues at the same time as developing the skills to create more inclusive teaching and learning environments.
Please feel free to circulate this email widely, if you are someone who Tweets on a regular basis – then please use the hashtag #ITQsupport.
Many thanks
Alistair
