Hi Elena,
We installed ours on a separate virtual machine. I don't think you have
to do that, though. It certainly doesn't seem to use much cpu when it's
just sitting there, although the three java VMs that make up the app
take a fair bit of virtual memory, e.g. 3 + gig:

Having said that, the resident memory is only about half a gig. I
haven't tried it on a shared system, and it's more convenient to
administer it on a separate box, but I don't see any reason why it
couldn't share a box with (say) APEL.
