Daniela, I am not sure whether SGE is a special case but I don't think others should need to split accounting logs. The only jobs which get accounts published are those which join with the gk or blahd logs and these are specific to a CE so even if the CE sees all the cluster's jobs in the batch logs, it will only 'join' the ones which went through that CE.
Don't change anything if it works though :-)
