Santanu, David,
Forgive the delay - I had to surf around a bit to find out what was
happening. In version 3.2.11-1.sl5 of the glite-BDII_site package, the
file “/opt/glite/etc/gip/ldif/glite-info-site.ldif” is not there. So (on
my system) the file is a useless artefact of an earlier install. That's
what got me going.
The static data about “GlueSiteOtherInfo: GRID=EGI” no longer flows
through any ldif file. Instead, it is created by a “provider” that reads
the data from /etc/glite-info-static/site/site.cfg, i.e. a whole new way
of doing it has been put in. The config-gip-site yaim function sets that
data up from the site-info.def.
With respect to David's version – 3.2.9-0.sl5 – it is possible that
/opt/glite/etc/gip/ldif/glite-info-site.ldif was then still shipped with
glite-BDII_site (or one of its dependencies). The fact that David
changed it, and it now publishes new data suggests that is the case.
Cheers
Steve
