Matt
Those are very useful pointers, thanks. We are aware that
the list is far from complete - it is described as a work-in-progress.
I think all the partners felt that it was better to expose it now,
both to gather input from a wider range of sources and to make sure
people knew we were doing it. It's already brought a similar activity
in the USA to our attention - one that hasn't yet gone public.
We have intentions both to expand the range of information collected
about each repository and to make the data machine-actionable. The
latter could help us build a service to direct you to the most
appropriate repository for your data, based on things like your
discipline, funder, institution and data types.
It's clear that others have already collected more extensive data
in some areas. That's exactly what I hoped we would discover.
What I hope we can do is to make that data more easily available
and discoverable (just like the data in the repositories themselves.)
