Dear all,

Goldsmiths, University of London, in conjunction with King's College, the University of St Andrews and EuroCRIS, the European Organisation for Research Information, are working on the JISC-funded project "Measuring impact under CERIF", the Common European Research Information Format. This project is being done in preparation for the Research Excellence Framework and has two central objectives:

1. design a schema for encoding information on the impact of research
2. assess the suitability of this schema.

Goldsmiths has reviewed the schema, designed by King's College, euroCRIS and the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence, and has produced a survey that presents the proposed impact measures and tries to determine institutions' current information provisions in relation to these measures. The survey is relevant to universities' research and development offices as well as to universities' information management departments (institutional repository, CRIS, library).

The survey, which is anonymous, can be found at http://goldsmiths.limequery.org/66559/lang-en

We would greatly appreciate if you could take part in this survey. It will be open until 11 July 2011. Please feel free to forward this message to relevant members of staff.

More information on the "Measuring impact under CERIF" project can be found on the project blog: http://mice.cerch.kcl.ac.uk/

Many thanks,
Jacqueline Cooke (Deputy Librarian and Repository Manager)
Tahani Nadim (Repository Coordinator)
