What I could add is that being an intellectual, in this era, exposes one
to a type of oppression which both celebrates and puts down in a very
hostile way. So the current situation is one of hostile opposition.
(This could go back to my first IQ test which was rather high and hence
received in a hostile manner and the following year, aged 16, saying I
was homosexual.)
