With the REF taking place in 2014 (http://www.hefce.ac.uk/research/ref/) CRIS systems and repositories are becoming a higher priority and their functionality more visible. Smooth interaction between the two will be vital for a smooth and painless submission in 2014. Now if the perfect time to find out how others have managed this process! This event will look at how repositories and CRISs can work together to meet this goal. Findings of the RePosit project, which has developed case studies around the integration of Symplectic Ltd and repositories in 5 institutions, will be shared.
In addition to this we have invited leading suppliers of Repository software and CRIS software to take part in our Suppliers exhibition which will run alongside the conference in our refreshments area. To date we have confirmed EPrints; EQUELLA; ExLibris; Open Repository; Sherpa Services; Symplectic. This is an excellent opportunity to see all the major suppliers in once place and hear the real experiences from colleagues of integrating the various repository and CRIS software.
This event will be of interest to:
* anyone involved in institutional CRIS systems or publications databases – or procuring these systems
* anyone involved in preparations for the REF
* anyone involved in institutional repositories
