This workshop by the National Centre for Research Methods (NCRM) will explore the possibilities of using I-poems as an aspect of in-depth qualitative data analysis. I-poems are a feature of the voice-centred relational method developed by Carol Gilligan and colleagues to assist in interpretation of subjectivity - the 'first person voice'. Following an introduction to I-poems and their construction, the workshop will involve participants in exploring the application and findings from I-poems using case studies of children and young people supplied from the 'Your Space' data set of the Timescapes study.
