Research Fellow
Salary: £40,484 – £46,897 pa incl
Start date: 1st August 2011
Fixed term for 17 months
LSE Health seeks to appoint a full-time Research Fellow to work on an ongoing project
funded by the European Commission on population health status, health policies and longterm
care in European countries.
You will coordinate the Health Network of the European Observatory on the Social Situation
as well as presenting reports and research findings to the Commission. You will be expected
to play a constructive role in the life of the Centre/Institute/Department and to collaborate in
future grant bids.
You will hold a PhD in health economics or health policy, and have a research background in
health policy, health economics, public health or a related area. You should be able to
demonstrate experience in writing up research and presenting at academic or international
level as well as a track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals. We particularly
welcome candidates with expertise in health policy and long-term care in Europe as well as
experience in comparative analysis. Additionally, you will have excellent communication and
organizational skills.
