Dear Craig and All,
small-scale data is a tricky issue in Germany - you might know that the
last census was in 1987 (Western Germany) and in 1981 (GDR),
respectively (and the 2011 one is mostly register-based but the quality
of the registers is the key unknown variable in this effort). But even
these "most recent" censuses did not ask for income. Juergen Friedrichs
(1995) concluded from this lack of income data that this is one of the
reasons why there are only few studies on residential segregation in
Germany available. There is one older study (Horst Schueler: Einkommen
und Verteilung in Hamburg 1989, Hamburg in Zahlen no. 4/1994, pp.
112-119) which used data of the Finanzamt (local tax authority). But
I've got no idea how feasible this way is.
But you could request to the Statistical Office of the the Bundesland
Hamburg, whether they collect (or compute) small-scale data

Good luck
Annett
