The Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) is inviting UK HE/FE institutions to submit funding proposals for projects to implement and evaluate institutional change in technology-enhanced assessment and feedback. The call is for projects lasting from 6 months to 3 years under the following themes: institutional change; evidence and evaluation; technology transfer. Funding will be available for amounts between £20,000 to £200,000. The deadline for receipt of proposals in response to this call is 12:00 noon UK time on Friday 15th July 2011.
Bids for funding under this call must be submitted by a FE/HE institution but partnership arrangements may be developed outside the sector (for example with research council sites, publishers, commercial suppliers). The JISC Regional Support Centre Scotland S&W have invited external suppliers of technologies / services for assessment to deliver webinars so that institutions can get a sense of the tools / services available, which they may wish to consider in relation to a bid. Please note, that these webinars are only available to participants from UK academic institutions (with an .ac.uk email address).
The leading e-Assessment supplier, Questionmark will be delivering a webinar tomorrow, Thursday 16th June at 12.30pm. Questionmark, who deliver assessment management and authoring systems and services (including Questionmark Perception), will suggest 10 themes for how Questionmark e-assessment software might be applied in a bid for the JISC Assessment and Feedback funding call.
