There is an immediate opening in the group of Dr. Lan Guan in the Department of Cell Physiology and Molecular Biophysics at Texas Tech University Health Science Center, Lubbock, TX, for the structure determination of a sugar transport protein by X-ray crystallography. This postdoctoral position requires a strong background in membrane protein purification, crystallization, and X-ray structure determination to improve the quality of diffracting crystals for solving a novel structure. Experience in molecular biology, membrane protein biochemistry and biophysics will be an advantage. We have excellent research facilities for membrane protein purification and biophysical analysis, robotic crystallization screening, and in-house X-ray data collection and processing. Highly motivated candidates with a PhD are encouraged to apply. Please send a CV and the names of three references to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>. TTUHSC is an equal opportunity employer.
