SAS Programmer supports the Lead Statistician on projects, by providing statistical input into clinical trials from design, through analysis and reporting and acts as the Lead Statistician on selected single projects. He/she provides statistical programming support for data summaries and listings, and validation programming support in the production of statistical appendices and represents the Biostatistics department within the company and with interactions with client companies and regulatory agencies, as required.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include: ·Being familiar with and following the departmental and company SOPs and working practices (WPs). ·Serving as a lead statistician on selected single projects. ·Ensuring projects are well documented consistent with company SOPs and working practices. ·Time management of own and team`s time spent on projects. ·Interacting with the sponsor on statistical aspects of the project. ·Providing randomisation schemes and appropriate documentation, on selected projects. ·Developing statistical analysis plans, including table, listing and graph specifications. ·Specifying the general structure of the analysis database, providing programming support for its development and validation. ·Producing statistical analyses and statistical appendices, with appropriate documentation. ·Validating statistical analyses and statistical appendices, with appropriate documentation. ·Contributing statistical methods section for Integrated Clinical Statistical Reports. ·Reviewing Integrated Clinical Statistical Reports. ·Mentoring of Associate Statistician/Statistical Programmer (as required)
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: ·BSc degree in statistics or related field ·SAS programming experience in a clinical trial environment ·Strong SAS programming skills and understanding of database structures
PERSONAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES: ·Good organisational skills of own work load, with the ability to adapt and adjust to changing priorities. ·Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ·The ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team setting. ·Positive attitude and the ability to work well with others.
