TakeAIM student competition: Articulating the Influence of Mathematics
There is now less than one week left in which to enter the TakeAIM competition. It is open to all students who are currently registered at a UK university and working in some area of the mathematical sciences. Entries are encouraged from postgraduates and undergraduates alike, and also from those working in departments other than mathematics.
The TakeAIM competition will make visible the crucial role that mathematics will increasingly play in all aspects of our lives. To enter, students must convey the potential influence of their work in up to 250 words. Thanks to the support of NAG, ARM, Unilever and Willis, the two best entries will win an iPad2.
The competition is being run through the Industrial Mathematics Knowledge Transfer Network. Entries must be submitted online - instructions on how to enter are at www.innovateuk.org/mathsktn
Closing date for entries: 30 June 2011
