Snr Strategic Biostatistics Director - Epidemiology

Our client, a leading global CRO with a record of phenomenal success in the market place, provides a range of services, information and business solutions to the pharmaceutical, biotech and healthcare industries.  They are seeking a Senior Strategic Biostatistics Director at their offices in Berkshire.

JOB ROLE:  
The Senior Strategic Biostatistics Director will provide strategic epidemiological/outcomes research input, to high priority Late Phase sales opportunities to help increase revenue, with emphasis on methods to cut costs, decrease time, or increase chance of product commercial success through appropriate management of risk and value demonstration. 
  
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES include:   
•	Provide strategic epidemiological/outcomes research consultancy to customers on a billable basis
•	Maintain knowledge and awareness of developments in epidemiology and outcomes research
•	Market our clients epidemiologic and outcomes research expertise, which may include publishing papers, demonstrate expertise in key areas, giving presentations at conferences and contribute to publicizing internally to key groups
•	Actively network in the industry to establish relationships and to identify potential opportunities.
•	Deliver/oversee billable services to customers aligned with domain expertise
•	Oversee and participate in the provision of training to internal staff 

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
•	MSc or Phd in Epidemiology or a closely related discipline
•	CRO/consulting and pharma experience
•	Observational research/registry and Patient Reported Outcomes experience
•	In-depth knowledge of many of those complex statistical analysis methods that apply to Phase IIIB/IV clinical trials, with a focus on prospective observational research
•	Good overview knowledge of many of the new and cutting-edge design and analytical approaches that can beneficially be applied to Phase IIIB/IV clinical trials and observational studies
•	Knowledge of current guidelines with respect to pragmatic trial and observational study designs, endpoints, and acceptable analyses for multiple therapeutic areas
•	Understanding of peri- and post-approval research needs
•	Knowledge of SAS
