DELILA Dissemination event: One day event for developers of information and digital literacy teaching and learning material
Senate House
26th July 2011
Are you a librarian/learning technologist?
Do you create learning material to help you/others teach information literacy skills?
Are you interested in making your material completely freely available?
Then this event could be for you!
OERs (Open Educational Resources) are a growing area of interest, both in the UK and internationally, and a community of practice for librarians and educational technologists to share ideas and resources in re-using and re-purposing information literacy learning objects has emerged. The DELILA Dissemination event will be a day of talks and a workshop to exchange ideas and good practice and to experiment with existing information literacy and digital literacy OERs.
The workshop section of the day will give you a chance to work with others and investigate existing OERs and the steps taken to create them. There will also be a poster session to promote existing OER projects etc, so bring a poster with you to showcase if you have something to do with OERs you would like to promote.
The DELILA Dissemination event is being run by DELILA (Delivering Educators' Learning and Information Literacy for Accreditation), a JISC/HEA funded project looking at turning existing learning objects into OERs and embedding them in existing PGCerts and is sponsored by the Centre for Distance Education at University of London.
