RE: Workshop: Ethnographic Approaches to Mediumship

We would like to announce a one-day Workshop on "Ethnographic Approaches
to Mediumship", organised by the Afterlife Research Centre in
collaboration with the Department of Archaeology and Anthropology,
University of Bristol.
We welcome presentations from scholars working on various aspects of
mediumship and related phenomena using ethnographic methodologies.
Topics will include:
* Ethnographic methodologies and the study of Mediums and Mediumship
* Cross-cultural explorations of the phenomenon of Mediumship, Spirit
Possession, Trance, Channelling, Shamanism, Spirit Healing, and related
phenomena
* Case studies of Mediums and Mediumship in cross-cultural contexts.
We anticipate producing a book or journal edition as a result of the
workshop. Since places are limited, please, send an abstract and details
