Thanks for the kind words Lawrence, Patrick and Douglas!
Out on Mt. Tamalpais all day with Anna Halprin the legendary, wonderful, sharp as a tack 92 year old choreographer still keeping time kicking her feet up and gently cracking the whip, etc. That's all a longer good story. But I am whipped.
Check out her website if you have interest. She is utterly amazing.

Hi
I missed this. Patrick's response just now took me back, and there it was
- pages of inbox back, unopened. My apologies, after you took the trouble
to tell us.
I've been rather busy and on the move recently. I have neglected my email,
skipping only to the ones that appear to be re ongoing projects. I may
never fully catch up
& I am very glad I did look at it, because it is rather fine. So thanks to
you (and to Patrick!)
Without any desire to "me too", I'd like to say how... I don't know. How
much I agree... how much in empathy i *feel
What is the way a poet paints? would paint. What is the way a poet would
paint? It's a wonderful question -- because it opens the doors on so many
questions and on answers -- even if it does have a little of the joke of
lenin stalin and trotsky starving on an island surrounded by tinned food
and trotsky saying _comrades, imagine we had a tin opener_
pardon me if Ive told that here before
It's a question I might have been inclined to answer until last week when
i spent three days in residence with artists as such, people who had been
to art college... There *is a difference. Parallel universes. I hadn't
been so much with painters etc for a long time. Not the same as musicians.
What you write -- the paper is a potential, continuous field of rhythm, of
color, of and a delight in its resistances, its choices, and a humility,
as if the pens are having a conversation with God, or a series of gods --
is very fine. That is, it is very welcome. I believe I recognise what you
are saying and it is welcome
Thanks
