********************************APOLOGIES FOR CROSS POSTING*******************************
There are a few spaces left at the Public Sector Group on May 18th at the Westminster Archives Centre in London The agenda will be identical on both days and can be found at http://www.irms.org.uk/groups/local-government/meetings/942. The meeting is being sponsored by AI Automated Intelligence who will be doing a presentation entitled "Compliance in Sharepoint 2010".
The theme for the day is Records Management in an Electronic Age.
The day will open with a presentation from Jon Garde who is the author of MOREQ2010. I was privileged to hear Jon speak at the IRMS Conference where he unpacked the reasoning and timeframe behind MOREQ2010 in a vey comprehensive and understandable way. The DLM Forum is due to meet just prior to the meeting so there will also be news hot off the press about the development of MOREQ2010.
This will be followed by a presentation from Alison Gibney from CIMTECH entitled Records Management for a Diverse Digital Landscape. Richard Jeffery Cook (Inform Consult) will wind up the day with a session on implementing records management in Sharepoint 2010, an activity which seems to be exercising many of us across the public sector.
There will also be the chance to present questions to a panel.
There will be an update on accreditation by the IRMS at the London meeting, as two members of the Accreditation Committee will be at the meeting.
The meeting is free of charge and is now open to anyone who is interested whether or not they are members of the IRMS.
There will be an identical meeting in Nottingham on May 26th.
