Maybe this would be a good time to say that at the recent WikiConference
in Bristol I joined the Board of Wikimedia UK, a non-profit company,
currently seeking charitable status, which supports and promotes
Wikipedia, Wikiversity and the seven other content projects.
So though I was already on this list because of my involvement in UKOER
projects, I'm now here in a dual capacity as someone seeking to make
links between the UK HE community and the Wikimedia community. I'm
speaking at the OER conference later this month, but if anyone wants a
speaker from Wikimedia, including to tell me how we're getting it wrong,
then do get in touch.
The WikiConference included a presentation about the course that Pat
highlights:

One overlap between the two communities is the Campus Ambassador
programme, where students, lecturers or support staff are trained in
incorporating Wikipedia into educational assignments. There will be a
