I am unable to simulate neutrinos above about 30 GeV. What can I do to be able
to use high energy neutrinos? I am interested in neutrino energies up to ~10 TeV
(neutrino backgrounds from a multi-TeV muon collider). Do I just need to create
my own splines, or is there more to it?
In particular, this command takes 35 seconds (30 of which are initialization):
gevgen -s -n 100 -p 14 -t 1000060120 -e 30
while this one loops forever:
gevgen -s -n 100 -p 14 -t 1000060120 -e 40
with many thousands of repeated messages:
1306526913 ERROR IntSel : [n] <PhysInteractionSelector.cxx::SelectInteraction
(192)> : Could not select interaction
1306526913 WARN GEVGDriver : [n] <GEVGDriver.cxx::GenerateEvent (269)> : No
interaction could be selected for: nu-pdg:14;tgt-pdg:1000060120; at E = 40 GeV
Note I used --enable-vhe-extension in my configure command when I built Genie.
How valid is this modeling at 1-10 TeV (assuming I can get it to work)?
My GPSLOAD points to gxspl-t2k-v2.6.2.xml (224 megabytes), downloaded from the
website.
