Kelvin
Many Thanks
The shaft at SJ 17900 75600 is the one we are concerned with. What I
can't do is definitively tie the drawing down to either of the two
potential "True Blue" CPAT mine sites because there is no surface
detail on the drawing other than a single unnamed shaft.
Kind Regards
Keith

Hi Keith
I have 2 possible grid references
One at SJ 18900 73000 This was also known as Cross Leavings Mine
The other at SJ 17900 75600
Look at http://www.cpat.org.uk/projects/longer/mines/18244.htm
There was a Kennedy mining family that lived close to North Henblas
Mine,
very close to True Blue, according to the 1881 census. Could that tie in
with Kennedy's Rise?
Hope this helps
Kelvin

I have a 24 feet to one inch Flintshire Records Office mine plan called
"True Blue Mine" showing a northeast to south west orientated vein
worked from a single shaft near the south west corner. This is in the
middle of Pb/Zn country.
Can anyone help in fixing its location in 19th Century space?
It may, or may not ! lie along the route of a pipeline route I'm
looking at.
Other features on the plan are Price's Cross, Kennedy's Rise and Ames
Level
Any help much appreciated
Kind Regards
Keith
