STIMULUS Co-ordinator (part-time - 0.3FTE)
Salary range: £27,428 - £35,788 p.a. pro rata.

The University of Cambridge's Faculty of Education is seeking a
graduate, preferably in education, mathematics, science or a related
subject, with school teaching experience for the part-time (0.3 FTE)
role of STIMULUS Project Coordinator from 1st September 2011. STIMULUS
(http://stimulus.ucam.org) matches Cambridge University student
volunteers with classroom placements in local primary and secondary
schools to assist with maths, science, ICT and technology teaching. In
the 2009/10 school year 237 student placements were arranged in 26
Cambridge schools.
You will be responsible for coordinating the project, arranging
placements, liaising and communicating with schools and student
volunteers, promoting the scheme, arranging and delivering training for
volunteers and support for teachers, producing reports on progress and
evaluating placements. Our successful candidate will have excellent
organisational skills and be able to work to tight deadlines, with
excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Some
prior experience or knowledge of the STIMULUS scheme and/or local
schools would be an advantage, as would flexibility in working pattern.
Appointment is subject to an enhanced CRB disclosure.
