Hi folks,
We are a big NHS Trust library. We have been asked to review our journal purchasing arrangements. Value for money, etc.
At the moment we use a subscription agent (Ebsco) for all of our print and some of our online subscriptions. We purchase our OvidSP online titles direct from OvidSP.
I'm guessing quite a few libraries don't put all their eggs in one basket and buy everything via one source/agent/aggregator. I'm particularly interested in people's experiences of
(a) other subscription agents (e.g. Swets), particularly regarding customer service, claims handling etc.
(b) purchasing e-resources direct from a publisher, whether as individual titles or "packages"
Private replies, please, but will summarise for the List.
Many thanks!
Helga
